Brass check valve AGxAG 3/4 inch
Piping installations often have the challenge of fitting many components in a small space.
Our brass check valve Aqua ProHIB can also cope with situations where the installation length is of great relevance.
Due to the design based on the double nipple, you save up to 60% during installation compared to conventional brass check valves.
Why do I need a check valve?
The use of a check valve allows flow in only one direction, thus preventing the backflow from flowing back in the opposite direction.
This prevents, for example, an elevated water reservoir from draining or heating water from unintentionally circulating in your system.
Where do I install a brass check valve?
Brass check valves are used wherever you want to prevent the water column from flowing back inside the pipeline. An example of this is the suction line of a well pump. Without the use of a check valve, the entire contents of the pipeline would leak out every time the pump is turned off, and you would have to add water first before each pump startup to prevent the pump from running dry.
The use of the check valve prevents just that. Due to the spring-loaded system, low-pressure lines can also be equipped with the valve, since the spring presses the back-pressure disc against the cone and prevents leakage.
Note on assembly: Use a thread sealant such as Teflon tape, Dichthanf or other suitable thread sealing tape.
Use this check valve mainly for fresh water supply, otherwise it could quickly come to blockage by e.g. suspended solids in the water.
You can install this component in your garden irrigation system as well as use in your camper / caravan for drinking water supply.
